Carrollton, Georgia 30117 Business Meeting Call to order Robert McDonald called to order the regular meeting of the Little River Gun Club at 07:22 PM EST on June 10, 2009 in the club house. Roll Call A sign in sheet was made available to all members in attendance. A motion was made to accept, seconded and a unanimous vote to accept the report as reported. Approval of minutes from last meeting Copies of the minutes were passed out and Gary Hewitt read the minutes. A motion was made to accept, seconded and a unanimous vote to accept the minutes as read. Range Officer Report Rifle & Pistol Range: Bill Smith reported on two items- Work has started on the 50 yard dirt berm on the rifle range – dirt has been delivered and post and target board will be installed Bowling pin targets will be removed from pistol range as problem with operation continues – additional targets will be placed but it is uncertain what type at this time. If anyone observes the individual(s) shooting a shotgun on the pistol range, or violating any rules please advise one of the officers or board members – your name will not be disclosed if you wish to remain anonymous. Shotgun Venues: Trap machine requires attention and will be examined in the next few days. Member Only Competition:
The egg shoot date has not been provided. Committee Reports Open Issues a) Electrical work still going on – work is scheduled for work day 7/11/09 b) Berm addition to rifle range – dirt delivered more work to be completed on work day 7/11/09. c) Power usage report – bill not received for current month.
New Issues a) New member applications – approved one new member. Motion to accept and vote carried without objection. David Alan Brunson is the new member. b) Review of members who have reached the end of the probation period – c) Billy McLemore, Gage Hunt, and Joey Entrekin. Review revealed positive findings and a motion was made to accept and vote carried without objection d) Suggestion was made to require Concealed Carry Permit before new member application is accepted and a copy must be submitted with application. There was some discussion and a motion was made to accept – motion carried with no objections. e) Need updated contact information as email is being used to communicate LRGC events – those members who do not have email should provide current phone numbers (Gary called three members and the numbers had been disconnected). f) Outdoor cooking grills need attention – either repair or replacement is an option and will be explored – will address on work day 7/11/09. g) A suggestion was made to have someone move clay targets and restock each location that houses a clay machine – Jeff Thorpe has agreed to do a trial on how long it will take to move targets and report back to club.
